Nestled on the ground floor of the Sampoerna Strategic Square North Tower in central Jakarta, discover Iseya Japanese Restaurant. Specializing in robatayaki, a traditional method of cooking where skewered meats, seafood and vegetables are slow- grilled on a hot grill. A popular choice is omakase (the chef’s choice), but there are other dishes too, like shabu- shabu, sukiyaki, sushi, donburi and teppanyaki, all backed by an excellent range of wines and premium sakes.
For authenticity, Iseya Robatayaki uses fresh vegetables, meats and seafood flown directly from Japan. The attention to quality is second to none; the Kobe beef for example comes from a small farm in the city of Kobe where only the best is selected.
Featuring a stunning combination of classical European and Japanese modernism, the restaurant is elegantly decorated with original teak flooring, nine- metre tall neoclassical windows and an exquisitely oversized kimono on display. Featuring a semi- private area and three private rooms, Iseya offers exclusivity and privacy for groups of up to 50 people.
