A natural magnetism
A country attuned to the rhythms of nature and its bountiful harvest, Latvia celebrates its Centenary with a showcase of their enchanting cuisine at Food&hotelasia2018.
Nature is at the heart of Latvia. From its beautiful forested landscapes to pristine beaches, the Baltic Sea to its many rivers and lakes, nature and its changing seasons provide infinite inspiration for Latvians and Latvian cuisine, where natural and fresh produce take center stage, boasting purity and authenticity. The Riga-gauja region was named the European Region of Gastronomy in 2017 and its capital city, Riga, described as the Baltic Capital of Gastronomy. In a country where old meets new, Latvian cuisine has maintained its links to nature while simultaneously producing innovative contemporary culinary creations.
Celebrating their Centenary this year, Latvia makes its debut at Food&hotelasia2018, showcasing the country’s rich culinary offerings at their national pavilion. Once again, with nature at the core of the products on display, 10 companies will be available to reflect the diversity of Latvia’s food industry.
