Ex­ec­u­tive chef Made Pu­tra didn’t have to look far to cre­ate the menu at Ar­wana. In­spired by boun­teous of­fer­ings of the sea sur­round­ing In­done­sia, Pu­tra pre­sents a six-course tast­ing menu with a de­cid­edly In­done­sian in­flu­ence. But­ter­fish carpac­cio is pre­sented with sam­bal matah, while the An­gus Sir­loin Ren­dang fea­tures 200-day grain-fed An­gus beef and crispy, dried beef den­deng. There’s also his sig­na­ture Lob­ster Ther­mi­dor, sourced from the Ara­fura sea and baked with Ba­li­nese Raclette cheese. 15% off food only

Tel: + 62 361 3008888 The lush in­te­ri­ors and au­then­tic Ital­ian fare has al­ready ce­mented Filini as Uluwatu’s draw­card for a mem­o­rable evening with your other half. Twirls of home­made pap­pardelle drenched in lamb ragu or a mas­sive tom­a­hawk with the clas­sic ac­com­pa­ni­ments of roasted gar­lic and herbs but­ter are served with a gor­geous view of the gar­den ter­race, awash in a soft, golden hue, cour­tesy of the stun­ning wa­ter-fire foun­tain.

There are piz­zas, pas­tas, sushi and even a hearty bakmi goreng (wok-fried egg noo­dles with chicken or seafood) to go along with a cu­rated se­lec­tion of In­done­sian wines, in­clud­ing a sparkling rose made from lo­cal grape va­ri­ety Alphonse Lavalle from Hat­ten Win­ery. They of­fer an un­matched view of Nusa Dua Bay, and is a prime lo­ca­tion for soak­ing up the soft sun­set glow and its trop­i­cal cock­tails. Frozen mar­gar­i­tas and pina co­ladas might rank high, but go for the in­no­va­tive mix of rose­mary-in­fused gin and pear purée in their iconic The Last Cock­tail (even if its just the start of the night). 15% off food only
