Christmas season is made all the better with Mandarin Orchard Singapore’s festive offerings.
Mandarin Orchard Singapore has pulled out all the stops this festive season, starting with a life-sized gingerbread house at the hotel lobby followed by a carolling performance by the Vocal Consort from 22 to 25 December. With both Orchard Road and the Great Christmas Village in full swing, Mandarin Orchard Singapore – as the official hotel for Christmas on a Great Street 2019 – will be offering special room packages, perfect for a year-end staycation.
Triple Three will host a Christmas buffet filled with a spread of festive roasts, including classics like Honeyglazed Gammon Ham and Roasted Turkey. There will also be tempting fusion dishes like Ovenroasted Kumamoto Wagyu Beef and a Miso-marinated Foie Gras with Shaved Black Truffles. Yule logs, fruitcake, stollen and panettone complete the lineup. $108/person and $148/person for lunch and dinner respectively on Christmas Eve. $148/person on Christmas day.
Two Michelin-starred Sichuan-japanese restaurant, Shisen Hanten, will offer a six-course Christmas set menu ($198/person, minimum two persons) that includes chef
Chen Kentaro’s Festive Appetisers and the signature Stir-fried
Lobster with Chilli Sauce. New on the menu is the Stewed Noodle in Superior Stock – topped generously with Hokkaido scallops and freshly shaved black truffles. Available from 2331 December.
Tipplers can enjoy Bar on 5’s festive bottle deals. Choose between the special Champagne bundle ($220) of two bottle of Laurent-perrier, or the signature threebottle whisky deal ($300-400). Think Japanese whisky on Monday, mystery whisky of the week on Wednesdays and single-malt Balvenies on Thursday. On

Christmas takeaways are available at the Festive Desk. Mandarin Orchard’s Premium Honey-glazed Bone-in Gammon Ham ($415) is a crowd-pleasing classic. New items include a Chicken Ballotine ($98), stuffed to the brim with buttery foie gras and shaved black truffle, and the guilt-free Baked Norwegian Salmon ($188), cooked to a beautiful pink and topped with luscious scallop mousseline. For sweets, choose from new Yule Log ($80) flavours: Mont Blanc, Salted Caramel and Chocolate, and Coconut and Almond Praline.
