The first ‘landscape hotel’ in North America will consist of 40 cube-shaped rooms that are elevated above the ground by steel piers and constructed using floor-to-ceiling, bronze-tinted glass, matte-charcoal, and rusted metal.

THE CELINO SOUTH BEACH, FLORIDA

The Celino South Beach offers 132 guestrooms and 24 suites, 82 of which have direct views of the ocean. Conceived by Navigate Design, the room decor is contemporary and airy, with light-colored wood, white furnishings, and splashes of muted colours.

KASA HOTEL RIVIERA MAYA, MEXICO

The decor is fresh with a colour palette of white, blue, and brown, evoking the coastal Puerto Aventuras location of the red-carpet luxury resort. This SLH property offers access to a Tom Lehman-designed golf course.

W Melbourne is slated to open in 2020 on Collins Street in the middle of Melbourne’s shopping heartland. Part of Collins Arch, the hotel will offer 294 rooms.

There will be 76 rooms, a spa, a restaurant, an 80ft pool and a leafy courtyard in a building revamped by Italian architecture firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Parisian firm Valode & Pistre.

Can Ferrereta is a restored a historic 17th century building in Mallorca, comprising 31 individually designed rooms and suites, surrounded by verdant gardens. Many of the bedrooms will feature private patios and terraces, while the hotel’s signature suite will offer a private swimming pool and garden.

ARCTIC BATH, SWEDEN

This February, Arctic Bath, a lifebuoyshaped low-impact spa hotel designed by Bertil Harström and Johan Kaupp, opens on the Lule River, close to Harads. Six smart two-person cabins will float near the water’s edge, and six larger ones will sit on the shore.
