SPRMRKT has re­cently ex­panded its menu; keep­ing in line with the brand’s culi­nary ex­pres­sion of pro­duce-driven cook­ing, the new se­lec­tions con­sist of veg­etable-for­ward plates that are bound to nour­ish. A large por­tion of these dishes are com­pletely veg­e­tar­ian friendly, in­clud­ing the But­ter­nut ($12) and Cauliflowe­r and Broc­coli ($20) bowls. The former pairs the sweet squash with a delectably chewy black barley and farro grain base, bal­anced with lo­cal aged black vine­gar, wild honey, and sesame. Those look­ing to make small steps to­wards a more plant-based diet will def­i­nitely en­joy the seafood dishes of Ha­machi ($29) and Mack­erel ($27).

The Ha­machi in par­tic­u­lar im­presses with the right dis­tri­bu­tion of fat, re­sult­ing in moist flaky flesh that’s tem­pered by ca­pers and burnt but­ter.
