Here are her tips to transform your home into a sanctuary of calm. “First, re-create the spa setting at home. Transform your living room or other quiet corners where fresh air and natural light are available into a relaxation lounge. Before giving yourself a treatment, sit quietly and relax. Light some candles or an essential oil burner to set the mood before heading to the bathroom or treatment room. Start the treatment by brushing the skin for five minutes. Skin brushing supports the natural process of detoxification as it stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation. It removes dead skin cells and encourages new cells to grow. Frequent brushing can lead to toned, softer, and smoother skin with less cellulite. Opt for a natural bristle brush and give the body a thorough gentle brushing. Take a quick, warm shower and gently massage the skin with salt scrub, moving across the skin in a circular clockwise motion. Rinse in the shower and pat dry. Sink into a bath of hot water and soak for 15 to 25 minutes to allow the oils to do their magic. Lastly, relax and take time to enjoy the moment.”
