There’s never been a better time to be a vegan. Pea Paneer, a plant-based soft cheese that is locally manufactur­ed in Singapore, is now available to satisfy cheese lovers. Launched by Singapore-based food and agri-commoditie­s multinatio­nal Agrocorp under the brand Herbyvore, the alternativ­e cheese has been formulated with minimal processing and comprises only five core ingredient­s, including pea protein made from peas grown on Canadian farms.

Pea Paneer can be found at NTUC Fairprice Finest stores, the Vegan Grocer, and on online platforms such as Nourishsg and Buzzsg. It is also available in local restaurant­s such as Yantra, Kailash Parbat and Rang Mahal. Stay tuned for more flavoured and melting cheeses in the coming months, as well as a liquid egg that can be used as a replacemen­t for omelets and scrambled egg.
