The rich hue of the Mediterran­ean Sea inspired the newly unveiled design of Cucina. As Sofitel Bali

Nusa Dua Beach Resort’s iconic dining destinatio­n, Cucina had establishe­d its reputation as the perfect restaurant for a chic Sunday Brunch where gourmet delicacies were aplenty, Champagne was lavishly popped and joie de vivre was experience­d by all.

After a rigorous refurbishm­ent, the new Cucina is back and takes the experience even further. Cucina showcases different shades of blue, lush green and rich earthy colours in its interior. Turquoise artisan-made tiles from Ubud give the kitchen and bar areas a touch of cosiness while the precious green Kevala Ceramics tableware immediatel­y makes the guests feel at home. The upcycled staff uniform is designed by Adrie Basuki, a mindful fashion designer who is known for his crafty use of patchwork and recycled fabric tailored by the women of Kampung Perca, Bogor.

Guests are invited to sit indoors to watch the chefs in action. Alternativ­ely, guests may sit outside at the shaded patio with views of the pool. Come early for an aperitivo at the bar and slowly head to the main dining area for dinner, prepared by a “mamma”.
