Concha Y Toro’s Rosso wine dinner
On 14th July, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta presented an exclusive evening of dinner and wine pairing with acclaimed Chilean winemaker Concha Y Toro. Guests were treated to an authentic Italian fare prepared by Rosso's Italian culinary maestro Gianfranco Pirrone and enjoyed the company of Concha Y Toro wine ambassador Pablo Pressac, a Chilean wine expert. The first course featured air-flown sliced amberjack fish with vibrant ginger-lime vinaigrette accompanied by Concha Y Toro Sauvignon Blanc 2008. The next course was the Lombok blue crab ravioli paired with the elegant Concha Y Toro Chardonnay 2009. The third course was summer squash risotto, matched beautifully with Concha Y Toro Carmenere 2014. For mains, diners were treated to pan-seared spiced duck breast and prime short rib, which were paired respectively with Concha Y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 and Concha Y Toro
Syrah 2015. House-made Italian cherry ice cream matched with black cherry tartufo ended the evening on a lusciously decadent note.
