Con­cha Y Toro’s Rosso wine din­ner

On 14th July, Shangri-La Ho­tel, Jakarta pre­sented an ex­clu­sive evening of din­ner and wine pair­ing with ac­claimed Chilean wine­maker Con­cha Y Toro. Guests were treated to an au­then­tic Italian fare pre­pared by Rosso's Italian culi­nary mae­stro Gian­franco Pir­rone and en­joyed the com­pany of Con­cha Y Toro wine am­bas­sador Pablo Pres­sac, a Chilean wine ex­pert. The first course fea­tured air-flown sliced am­ber­jack fish with vi­brant gin­ger-lime vinai­grette ac­com­pa­nied by Con­cha Y Toro Sau­vi­gnon Blanc 2008. The next course was the Lom­bok blue crab ravi­oli paired with the el­e­gant Con­cha Y Toro Chardonnay 2009. The third course was sum­mer squash risotto, matched beau­ti­fully with Con­cha Y Toro Carmenere 2014. For mains, din­ers were treated to pan-seared spiced duck breast and prime short rib, which were paired re­spec­tively with Con­cha Y Toro Caber­net Sau­vi­gnon 2015 and Con­cha Y Toro

Syrah 2015. House-made Italian cherry ice cream matched with black cherry tartufo ended the evening on a lus­ciously deca­dent note.
