On 20th August from 12PM to 3.30PM, guests at Raffles Jakarta can savour a special Indonesian Independence Day brunch at Arts Café. Diners will be treated to authentic Indonesian culinary creations by celebrity chef Petty Elliot, which are featured in her award winning Jakarta Bites cookbook. Visitors can enjoy dishes served in a buffet-style setting as well as an additional rijsttafel dining experience. Expect tantalising delights from across the archipelago such as sate marangi and the flavourful atjeh kari bebek. Visitors to The Writers Bar on 17th to 18th August can also enjoy a special Independence Day Afternoon Tea with a special trunk show of bespoke local design pieces.
