Making the most of its stunning westerly views and the island's sunny days and gorgeous sunsets, since opening El Kabron has been focused on providing its guests with a cool place to spend time with quality authentic Spanish food, cold drinks and music that goes on well into the evening.

El Kabron offers an all-day experience, enticing guests to lounge in the sunshine and revel in the breathtaking panoramic view across the Indian Ocean while nibbling on some gorgeous tapas, before taking in the stunning sunset with cocktails, followed by dinner. It is an excellent dining venue, offering something a little unusual for Bali. The chic dining room has a beautiful beachside polish and recently updated menus that are sure to draw gourmands in search of fine, authentic rustic Spanish food cooked with the best ingredients and plenty of passion.

The El Kabron F&B team do not believe in cutting corners. The appetizers and tapas include treats rarely found on the island, such as the surprisingly delicious wagyu marrow bones topped with smoky avruga caviar and the ocean-fresh Tuna Rillette Tacos wrapped in nori and topped with piccadillo pickles, offset perfectly with a crunchy “sand” of wild rice, garlic and black olive.

Another highly enjoyable tapas is the goat's cheese curd terrine with confit onion cream, black truffles and sweet rocket salad. The creamy terrine has a delightfully light flavour alongside the light peppery bite of the rocket and is bound to be very popular.

In a Spanish restaurant, if given the chance, there are two things that you absolutely must try – Iberico pork and Arroz, which closely resembles paella (to those of us who aren't Spanish). Both are sublime at El Kabron.

The pork is upper loin cooked to perfection, still pink, tender and flavoursome, served with a creamy potato mousse and spicy brava sauce. Meanwhile, the Arroz, the chef's personal favourite, is a creamy, crunchy rice casserole topped with tender quail, black pudding botifarra (a Catalan sausage), organic chicken and morels.

To complement the excellence of the food is an extensive drinks list, with a good line up of wines specially curated to pair with the robust, rustic flavours of the food.

Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays have the added value of live music, with entertainment between the sets, making an evening at El Kabron even more enjoyable. This hidden gem offers an indulgent experience that has its many guests frequently coming back for more.
