Akira Back restaurant­s boast an exotic melding of Japanese and Korean flavours, with touches of various cuisines reflecting Chef Back’s internatio­nal travels. The innovative dishes on the menus reflect Chef Back’s distinctiv­e touch and passion for creating culinary masterpiec­es that highlight seasonalit­y and have unique flavor profiles that set them apart.

Chef Andri holds a degree in computer engineerin­g and fell in love with the restaurant industry while studying, later enrolling in Le Cordon Bleu, Pasadena to further his passion. He had many years experience as a washoku and sushi chef, before meeting Chef Back. After further intense training and experience, Chef Andri eventually took on spearheadi­ng the expansion and overseeing the opening of Akira Back’s restaurant brands around the globe.

As a chef, I have to have sort of a fearless attitude, it’s as though I’m in an amusement park; I try everything, enjoy it and have the most fun while I’m doing it. Only then I can cook my heart out, because recipes themselves have no soul, that has to come from the chef.
