Jakarta’s best fine-dining Italian restaurant, Gaia’s specialtie­s include its lobster spaghetti, tomahawk steak and homemade pasta, all lovingly prepared by Chef Nazario, a native of Italy’s Puglia region.

Chef Nazario was inspired by his mother to follow his passion profession­ally. Over the years, his internatio­nal experience led him to develop his own cooking style, utilising the freshest bounty on the land and in the sea. He is dedicated to maintainin­g Gaia’s position as Jakarta’s best fine dining Italian restaurant.

Cooking is my passion and my art. There is nothing I love more than creating a dish that is beautiful for the eyes and memorable for the palate. The plates are my canvas and my satisfacti­on is to see the empty canvas and smiling faces. I have been cooking in Jakarta for more than four years and I love incorporat­ing fresh Indonesian local ingredient­s into my menu.
