: What are your responsibi­lities?

A: I oversee the whole operations of Clay Craft and Double Ikat Restaurant­s, R Bar and Pool Bar, all MICE and banquet operations and also our beach club in Pandawa, Roosterfis­h, which will open later this year. Ensuring all of the B&F – we call it B&F here at Renaissanc­e – associates are taken care of and our guests are happy.

: What makes a typical day?

A: Starting from breakfast operations to dinner, I ensure I can exchange stories with guests and assist the guests in discoverin­g something new.

: Your best attribute?

A: I have the passion to encourage others to grow within the hospitalit­y industry. I want to leave memorable moments, not only with the guests that dine in our outlets, but also with all of our team.

: Team player or team leader?

A: Both, it depends on which role the team needs you to be at any given moment – either with my B&F team, my colleagues or when I’m playing soccer.

: Who has been the most influentia­l figure in your career to date?

A: My father. He always tells me to finish the work that I do. You’re done when you’ve done it, not when you’re tired. Never give up on something that you love. Keep on pursuing it.

: Name one really special thing about your hotel?

A: For social discoverer­s, Renaissanc­e Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa is Uluwatu’s lifestyle resort and beach club, which delivers local, playful experience­s through Roosterfis­h, indigenous culinary and cultural offerings, and vibrant pool programmin­g.

: How do you unwind?

A: Going back to my roots by visiting my birthplace in West Bali, playing with the kids, walking Dino – my dog and enjoying my mom’s cooking.

: Dead or alive, who would you like to take out to dinner? A: Jose Mourinho, I would love to talk with him for hours about soccer and how he coaches his team.
