Offering a sumptuous view of Jakarta's cityscape, Henshin at The Westin Jakarta claims its spot as one of the city's glitziest bars. Occupying the three highest levels of The Westin Jakarta, guests can access Henshin via a dedicated highspeed lift to the side of the hotel's lobby.
Henshin's décor is a marriage of Japanese charms and contemporary design sensibilities. The first-floor entrance of Henshin features a playful art piece of transparent sake jars, which refracts the shimmering light displays to the chill house music. An elegant welcome bar offers visitors whimsical tipples to start off their evening, try the lovely Nikkei-inspired Issei. One can take in the dizzying bird's eye view in the outdoor patio area, and order a Nikkei-style appetiser such as the tiraditos to pair with the magnificent atmosphere.
The second floor of Henshin is the main dining area, in which guests are encouraged to interact with the chefs working in the open kitchen stations. The menu is curated by Hajime Kasuga and his team, a Peruvian native and a master of Nikkei cuisine. Try his specialties such as the ceviche and the grilled octopus. The top and final floor is reserved for private dining rooms for guests looking to throw an intimate gathering.
