Reminiscen­t of the Roaring 20s era, the restaurant is nothing less than fabulous with double-height ceiling and massive glass windows, sassy leather booths, marble accents and art deco details – it even has the speakeasy-style Sling Bar on the mezzanine level.

The excellence of The Plantation Grill is not only skin-deep, as the restaurant offers a hearty and generous range of grilled goodness. Evident from the “grill” part of the moniker, the restaurant takes this expertise very seriously, with a focus on high-quality meats. Beyond the exclusivel­y sourced and imported meats, the restaurant is also known for its line-caught sustainabl­e seafood, cooked over house-custom coal and wood grills and wood-fired ovens.

The ultimate signature favourite – especially for meat lovers – is The Plantation Grill’s rib eye, sourced all the way from Australia. The meat itself is already naturally rich in flavour, so complex seasoning is unnecessar­y. However, to add some depth, the restaurant suggests peppercorn sauce on the side.

Another meaty superstar at The Plantation Grill is the signature T-bone steak, coming in at a generous 600g. The thick grain-fed Black Angus cut is dry-aged – ensuring succulence on the inside and smoky outside and served with thyme and mint sauce. Meat aside, don’t forget to try the other signatures like the crab cake and bombe Alaska for dessert.
