As one of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s hugely popular international chain of restaurants, it’s no surprise that Jamie’s Italian Kuta has gained a reputation for its warm welcome, friendly service and above all for serving up some of Bali’s most enticing Italian food.

Rooted in authenticity and inspired by Italy, its traditions and values, Jamie’s is all

about offering guests rustic Italian dishes created from fresh, sustainable produce in a setting that’s in tune with its environment. Located just off Kuta Beach, in the very heart of the island’s most vibrant tourist district, Jamie’s is a relaxed and funky place to enjoy a fabulous family lunch, a laid back sunset cocktail, ice-cold beer and pizza, or as daylight fades, to indulge in a delicious romantic Italian repast full of Jamie’s Italian classics. Accessible from Jalan Pantai Kuta or via Hard Rock Hotel Bali, the restaurant offers diners a choice of three dining spaces. Outside the covered area, with its accented bench sofas, rustic tables and cool lighting offers diners the perfect, relaxed al fresco holiday vibe.

Head inside and be met by the large and well-stocked bar serving a good selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. It’s the ideal

spot to graze on a selection of antipasti and unwind with a classic, refreshing or contemporary cocktail like the vanilla and lemon martini. The area features bar seats, an assortment of tables, leather sofas and a long table for larger groups with a décor accented by shelves full of merchandise.

Upstairs a spacious dining area awaits. The front kitchen is framed by strings of garlic and chilli whilst the main kitchen is secreted away to the side. With exposed pipework, large windows and views over the busy street below, the room has an industrial chic feel with shelves of Jamie's books, cans of tomatoes, anchovies and red tiles skilfully added for good measure.

Boasting an extensive menu, complemented by a substantial drinks list and daily specials, there's something for everyone at Jamie's. Start off with antipasti like the oozy cheese and ham croquettes. Delicious bite-sized morsels served with Caribbean chilli mayo and topped off with parmesan cheese, or check out the sharing planks with a selection of crispy and cured fish or vegetables.

Naturally the mains include a whole range of pizza and pasta – must-tries include the gnocchi cauliflower cheese, penne meatball carbonara, funghi misti pizza and the delicious spinach and mushroom calzone. For the carnivores there are herby lamb steak, mixed grill, rib-eye steak, chicken al mattone, Jamie's Italian burger and a real treat, the succulent slow-roasted porchetta served with wild mushrooms, crisped sage, lemon gremolata and gravy.

No meal at Jamie's can be considered complete without a dessert. Choose from classics like raspberry Pavlova, vanilla panna cotta, strawberry cheesecake and Tiramisu or go frozen with selections of chocolate fudge sundae and scoops of gelato or sorbet. Inspired by Italy and enjoyed in Kuta, it's a treat not to be missed.
