Treat yourself to age-old rituals combined with sophisticated design and breathtaking views at The Spa at The edge.

ABali getaway wouldn't be complete without a lavish and pampering spa session, and there are countless spas on the island in which to have one, but none can rival the magnificent opulence offered by The Spa at The edge. The edge is a popular all-villa resort, ensconced on the breathtaking Uluwatu cliffs, boasting a sublime view of the ocean from an elevated vantage point. The Spa occupies a stunning spot, 150m above the sea, turning a regular spa session into a divine experience.

The aesthetics and design of The Spa are unlike any of its counterparts, featuring sleek lines and sultry silhouettes – creating an ultra futuristic look. The wall-less concept allows the relaxing ambience to flow. A unique element of the design is the liquid floors in the wet treatment areas, where guests can feel the cooling sensation of walking on water.

While The Spa looks like a state-of-the-art haven from the distant future, it takes pride in the authentic Balinese spa experience it offers, which is based on the four basic elements of canang (Balinese temple offerings) – sincere devotion, sacred flowers, holy water and life-sustaining rice.

Tired muscles will find relief in one of The Spa's massages – from the Sacred Flower massage and hot stone massage, to The edge massage and Oceanic massage. Beyond the massages, The Spa offers a rejuvenating selection of pampering rituals and also special treatments using Pevonia Botanica products.

Inspired by traditional remedies, many of the treatments at The Spa use fresh ingredients and/or products made of beneficial ingredients, to ensure maximum wellbeing/aesthetics results. Take the Dewi Sri Ritual, for example. The two-hour package takes its name from Bali's rice goddess, Dewi Sri. The ritual comprises a scented paddy water ritual, Balinese black rice scrub and lotus seed and herb steam wrap. Wrapping up the session are a cinnamon and orange body wash and a hot stone massage.

The Dewi Sri Ritual isn't the only package at The Spa that sounds as appetising as it is indulging. The Divine Fire Ritual incorporates the lushness of coconuts and their benefit in the treatments, including the scented coconut water ritual, coconut body scrub and coconut body wash, before concluding with a lotus blossom steam wrap and a meditative massage.
