Ensconced within the stylish The Stones – Legian, Bali, situated just off Kuta Beach in the heart of one of the island's most popular tourist hubs, discover a salubrious dining experience at Big Fish Bar and Grill.

Boasting a spacious and charmingly furnished indoor area and a large and comfortable al fresco terrace, Big Fish Bar and Grill is the hotel's welcoming casual, chic signature restaurant that offers diners a relaxed atmosphere, wonderful service and a choice of excellent food and drinks.

Positioned beside the curvaceous pool, The Big Fish Bar and Grill is open to in-house and walk-in guests who can choose from low-level sofas, intimate tables for two, barstyle seating or larger tables designed for groups of family and friends.

After six years wooing guests with fresh seafood and its tropical vibe, Big Fish Bar and Grill has just had a major upgrade to the menu and general ambience; changes driven by the newly appointed pairing of

Chef Asmara Putra and Beverage Manager Oka Darmawan, who together bring a wealth of gastronomic and bar experience to The Stones, along with an eye for the exotic.

The recently re-launched menu has been created to offer something to suit all tastes and appetites. Enjoy inspired light bites or hearty, wholesome and healthy mains backed by an array of cocktails, mocktails, beers and wines all complemented by live music and dining themes every night.

From the à la carte menu start off with the succulent magic flatbread served with a smokey aubergine dip or check out the gluten-free tuna or spicy chicken tostada. For a fresh, local dish choose the Big Fish rujak salad, a bowl crammed with mango, papaya, carrots, cucumber, beansprouts and peanuts smothered in a spicy tamarind dressing, available with or without prawns or organic beef sirloin.

For healthy options, Chef Asmara presents grilled fish tacos, Balinese chicken salad and perkedel kentang – a crumbed Balinese potato cake served with a rich and thick spicy tomato salsa-like sauce. Those with a big appetite might like to try the Bintang beerbattered fish and chips or the vegetarian pearl barley with porcini mushroom, enoki served with micro greens and parmesan foam.

The open kitchen grill will always be a favourite and the range of steaks, like wagyu striploin and grain-fed Angus tenderloin, sit alongside a choice of seafood, including catch of the day presented either grilled with garlic or lemon or in the classic Jimbaran style. For sharing try the succulent bone-in beef rib, the amazing seafood tower or a Balinese favourite, whole organic chicken betutu carved at your table and served with cassava leaves, spicy potatoes and a traditional Balinese sauce.

The impressive dishes are creatively presented and supported by an outrageously large classic and signature cocktail list that has been perfectly crafted for the island's sunny afternoons and balmy nights, like the Tropical Flamingo, a vodka and rum concoction with hints of cherry, pineapple and passion fruit for the ultimate fruity refreshment.
