In 1900, when Georges de Latour's wife Fernande first laid eyes on the land that would become their original Rutherford vineyard, she named it beau lieu, or beautiful place. Shortly after, De Latour bought the 1.6-hectare plot and founded Beaulieu Vineyard with the vision of making Napa Valley wines that would rival those of his native France.

For more than 100 years, Beaulieu Vineyard has been setting the standard for rich, classic Napa Valley wines with a philosophy that honours the marriage between state-of-the-art technology and gentle, traditional winemaking methods – a combination that successfully builds upon the vineyard's terroir.

The current wines are a true expression of Napa Valley and today BV, a member of Treasury Wine Estates, stands proud among the world's finest winemakers, whilst remaining at the forefront of viniculture research and development.
