When Happy Chappy was first opened in Seminyak, the restaurant redefined authentic Chinese flavours and culture with a subtle, yet still refreshing contemporary touch. The spacious restaurant first greets its guests with signature Chinesestyle round main doors, an entrance to the main dining area.
The festive Chinese feast should be enjoyed as a merry occassion with loved ones, that’s why the restaurant accommodates up to 160 diners. Reminiscent of Shanghai’s vintage era, the restaurant combines a classic touch with its hard-to-miss Fortune Pond and life-sized statue of the namesake mascot and an intimate bar area. Whether you’re feasting with the extended family, having a night out with selected friends, a romantic dinner with the significant other, or even a solo dine-out, Happy Chappy has a special place for you.
Taking pride in its authentic Cantonesestyle Chinese fare, Happy Chappy’s menu boasts the region’s classic favourites, from comfort dishes like honey prawns to the more magnificent Peking duck and all its trimmings. Then there’s Happy Chappy’s famous dim sum selection, encompassing all-time favourites like prawn har gow, shiu mai, and emerald dumplings. Fried goodness such as prawn gou gee, prawn sesame cakwee, Szechuan wontons and more are also available.
