Conscious Dining at Fivelements Retreat Bali

-

Nestled on the banks of the Ayung River, Fivelements Retreat Bali is an awardwinning eco-conscious wellness retreat that opened in late 2010 deeply rooted in the ancient traditions of Bali. It is the first of a new genre of wellness destinations bridging the wisdom of traditional healing cultures with innovative wellness concepts.

Creating a space for travellers seeking a better life transformation journey, the eco-wellness retreat believes that highly nutritious food plays important role in nurturing, cleansing and healing the body, mind and spirit. And for that reason, Sakti Dining Room offers daily epicurean plantbased cuisine as part of Fivelements Retreat Bali's transformational journey.

Fivelements Retreat Bali believes in the power of plant-based, sun-produced, and raw vegan, living foods that are rich in vitamins and enzymes. At Sakti Dining Room “aliveness” is being celebrated by letting mother nature's cuisine shine with all the exciting tastes, textures, vibrant colours and pure flavours.

The restaurant serves dairy-free and glutenfree zero-waste cuisine while the finest and freshest ingredients are sourced locally to support local farmers and promote sustainable agriculture. As an example, the burger patty is made from mainly beetroot, carrot and black beans which have numerous health benefits, especially for blood circulation, eyes, and kidneys. The desserts are made from 60 percent raw food such as coconut milk, cashew nuts, almonds, cocoa and dates using un-baked and un-heated cooking methods to ensure the nutrition value from each of these ingredients is completely preserved.

In addition to the delectable dishes found on the menu, guests can also enjoy a curated healing experience through Cuisine for Life culinary retreat at Fivelements Retreat Bali. With this package, guests enjoy a bespoke journey featuring daily culinary training with objectives to create a balanced diet aiming for health, beauty, and longevity benefits through food. Guests learn the key techniques of juicing, sprouting, fermenting, low-temperature baking and dehydrating to preserve the nutrition and health benefits of each ingredient. Meanwhile, guests enjoy the finest antiageing and naturally rejuvenating therapies inspired by Balinese remedies.
