Positioning the Arts

The third Yogya Annual Art (YAA) was held with the theme “Positioning”. The exhibition stressed on paintings as an update on Yogyakarta’s latest art development. It was held in three galleries simultaneously: Sangkring Art Space, Sangkring Art Project and Bale Banjar Sangkring. A few other spaces around Sangkring area were also used for the exhibition, including Lorong Sangkring, Tembok Galeri and Halaman. About 90 artists were involved in the exhibition, including the honourary artist Nyoman Gunarsa. He is an inspiring artist and lecturer, who applied the right and strategic positioning via his amazing works.
