Bridge Desk Wins European Product Design Award

Wewood – Portuguese Joinery, a brand specialised in designing, manufacturing and exporting solid wood furniture, has recently been bestowed with an award for its “bridge desk”.

Designed by Christophe de Sousa, the bridge desk has been acknowledged with the 2019 Bronze Winner in the category of Interior Furniture of the European Product Design Award.

Inspired by the city of Porto, the only city in Europe with six bridges, the bridge desk boasts a-one-of-kind design featuring smooth, rounded surfaces and minimalistic aesthetic.

The desk is made from oak with steel arcs that span the legs, much like the structures you would find on the bridges in Porto.
