LEDER HAUS OPENS LUXURIOUS LEATHER SHOWROOM

- St ory by Adeline Melissa

Nestled amongst a parade of shops in the neighbourhood of Cipete Square, Leder Haus offers genuine and synthetic leather, applicable for interior upholstery. The three-storey building at Cipete Raya 55 No.7 has completely opened its doors for anyone curious to experience their leather collection. The ground level has a display of CSL Leather, Nuvrino, and Leder Fiedler, while the second floor showcases the collaboration with Prasanti Studio for wall covering and flooring. The third floor houses the office level, accommodating its communications, design team, and merchandising employees.

The interior of Leder Haus showroom from its walls, floors and ceilings are kept dark and natural, allowing windows to bring light into the space, as well as draw attention to Leder Haus’ colourful and textural collection. The showroom and its detailed decor were designed by Einstein and Associates. They were keen to create an immersive retail space where customers can feel the luxurious detail in leather. In the showroom, there are several activities to help understand the basic knowledge of leather materials, getting insight on how to apply leather in designs and building interiors, as well as obtaining inspiration from colours and textures of the Leder Haus collection.

The highlights of the Leder Haus collection featured in the showroom are Durango, a water resistant synthetic leather, Viva with an anti-bacterial treatment, and Urbane, known as the antistain synthetic leather. Choosing leather over fabric for upholstery means having a waterproof, easy to maintain and durable piece.

The mission of Leder Haus is to support creativity and craftsmanship towards the interior design industry and sharing the knowledge regarding leather and its application. Leder Haus will also continue its journey by opening other showrooms in major cities in Indonesia. For now, the Leder Haus showrooms are available in Jakarta and Bandung. “We look forward to introducing the Leder Haus collection and sharing knowledge about leather and its application for every creative person.” said Leder Haus owner, Albert Tansil.
