Celebrating Indonesian Art Through Hotel Design

Artotel just opened their tenth location in Indonesia in the city of Semarang. The hotel was designed by Andra Matin in collaboration with famous Indonesian artist

Eko Nugroho in the public areas, as well as up-andcoming artists such as Diela Maharani, Ummi Damas, Horestes Vicha, Bunga Jeruk, and Zaky Arifin inside the rooms. The 12-storey hotel boasts 80 rooms inspired by art design studios, as well as two F&B outlets, the 11/12 Rooftop Bar that offers a 360-degree view of the city and Fat Elephant Restaurant that is open 24/7.

The day of the grand opening involved many activities, such as a press conference, a hotel tour and an opening party, where members of the media were able to speak to the hotel’s corporate staff, as well as Andra Matin and Eko Nugroho. During the evening, a special performace by Tulus serenaded the audience while the crowd mingled with the Artotel crew.
