Indonesia Design - Defining Luxury
Representing Batik All Over the World
Juxduo, which stands for Juxtaposition Duo, is a collaborative persona by journalist Erza ST and photographer Alexander Thian. They recently held an exhibit featuring their beautiful pieces of art photography at the Main Atrium of Plaza Indonesia. In collaboration with Iwan Tirta Private Collection, the photos all feature the brand’s various styles of batik fabrics in different places all over the world.
The photos were taken in a span of three years in several countries such as the Maldives, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and of course in several remarkable cities across Indonesia, just to name a few. The exhibit was curated by ISA Art & Design, where several batik fabrics were hung above the Main Atrium, as well as some of Juxduo’s photographs printed on duchesse satin fabric. Those printed on photograph paper were featured at several frames around the area, and are still available for purchase through ISA Art & Design.
