Amuz in A New Light

Amuz Gourmet first opened its doors in 2010 and is now one of the most established fine dining restaurants in Jakarta. Starting 16 September 2019, the gourmet French menu prepared by the founding chef, Gilles Marx, is to be enjoyed in a new interior design by Hans Susantio.

Without changing the layout nor structure, Hans successfully gave Amuz a fresh look. “We’re still going for an elegant and luxurious look, but we gave it a lighter touch by using lighter colours and materials,” says Hans.

The design also incorporates French Art Deco elements with some Asian touches. There are also some developments on the menu. “It is more modern and more to the fine dining side than before,” says Chef Gilles.

With the new changes, Amuz is hoping to attract younger customers. With the heightened quality in food and service, it is bound to maintain the regulars.
