Indonesia Design - Defining Luxury
Economical Chairs Highlighting Local Craftsmanship
Well known Indonesian furniture design studio, Asanka, levelled up their vision of design to a wider horizon, responding to the needs of today’s furniture industry. Consumers now desire more affordable yet durable items for their home, which inspired Asanka to create a new line of chairs called Jeun.
This new brand focuses on mass production of lightweight, stackable and easy to clean chairs which also showcase local Indonesian craftsmanship, presenting a perfect juxtaposition of traditional and modern styles.
The brand was formally launched in October and highlights collaboration between the furniture industry, craftsmen and the market, in order to provide a contemporary and sustainable form of chair design. Jeun sells a wide variety of chairs with different structures, shapes, materials, patterns and colours, available for sale to businesses with large orders as well as private home owners.
