Blood Donation with HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion

The Indonesian Independence Day is a festive annual celebration falling on the 17th of August. In this light, HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion held a blood donation on 15th August 2022 at the hotel’s Create Ballroom. This event welcomed the public as well as all tenants of the Puri Mansion Apartment, all employees of HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion, and the Head of Sub-district of Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng Heri Nurdin, SE.

Anton Rezie, General Manager of HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion expressed, “We hope that with this CSR program (blood donation) which coincides with the Indonesian Independence Day, HARRIS Suites Puri Mansion can continue to synergise in supporting programs from the government regularly to help the surrounding community, especially the West Jakarta area.”

A blood donation occurs when a person voluntarily has blood drawn used for transfusions and/or made into biopharmaceutical medications by a process called fractionation (separation of whole blood components). Donation may be of whole blood, or specific components directly (apheresis). Blood banks often participate in the collection process as well as the procedures that follow it.

The amount of blood drawn and the methods vary. The collection can be done manually or with automated equipment that takes only specific components of the blood. Most of the components of blood used for transfusions have a short shelf life, and maintaining a constant supply is a persistent problem.
