Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is the national airline of Switzerland. It serves 106 destinations in 49 countries around the world from its hubs in Zurich and Geneva. With a fleet of 95 aircraft, SWISS transports about 16 million passengers every year. As the national airline, SWISS stands for Switzerland’s traditional values and is committed to the highest standards of product and service quality. And because its size is manageable, SWISS is able to be closer to its guests and provide them with more individual care. Here are some reasons you should fly SWISS:

SWISS Choice

SWISS Choice makes travelling in SWISS Economy even more convenient, comfortable and enjoyable. SWISS customers can add a number of individual services to enhance their air travel experience. In addition to the existing hold-the-booking and add-an-extra-piece-of-baggage facilities, the SWISS Choice range gives customers the option of reserving their preferred seat in advance, arranging an inflight treat for themselves or a travel companion, pre-ordering inflight duty-free items or purchasing the SWISS Mobile international pre-paid SIM card for the lowest roaming charges. The selection of choices available is set to become even greater in the near future. www.swiss.com/swisschoice

Allergy-Friendly Airline

SWISS is the world’s first certified “allergyfriendly” airline. SWISS is pleased to have earned the quality seal of approval from the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) by considering the needs of passengers who suffer from allergies. If you are affected by an allergy, you can be certain when flying with SWISS that all efforts have been made to combat the presence of allergens in consideration of your well-being. As the first airline in the world to hold the ECARF seal of quality, SWISS is committed to minimising the presence of allergens within its cabin and lounge environment, particularly in upholstery materials, air-conditioning or certain food items. The high-efficiency air-conditioning system, for example, filters out pollens from outdoors and animal hair from pets on board. SWISS also make sure no air freshening substances with the potential to irritate the respiratory tract are released on board, and the planes’ lavatories are equipped with hypoallergenic soap for sensitive skin. For your further peace of mind, SWISS cabin crew members are trained to respond to an allergic emergency, and histamine tablets are available if needed.

Taste of Switzerland

Have a taste of delicious Swiss cuisine before you even reach the country. For more than ten years, SWISS have been taking to the air to bring the SWISS taste of Switzerland and the nation’s variety of gastronomic delights to other countries. While on board, passengers savour the culinary and geographical highlight the Engadin presents. Under its SWISS Taste of Switzerland concept, launched in 2002, SWISS invites different leading Swiss chefs to present their specialities, each for a three-month period. The time of dull inflight food is history when you fly with SWISS.
