As Hue Lights Its Ci­tadel, La Res­i­dence Lights Its BBQ

Things are bright­en­ing at night in the old im­pe­rial cap­i­tal of Viet­nam at Hue, and will stay that way all summer long. Piv­ot­ing off the au­thor­i­ties’ de­ci­sion to open and il­lu­mi­nate the Im­pe­rial City from 7-10 pm daily, start­ing 22 April, La Res­i­dence Hue Ho­tel& Spa is launch­ing Hue Glow, a new pack­age that combine san evening’ s visit to the UNESCO-rec­og­nized palace, ada yon the beach, and a bar­be­cue on the beach, to boot. HueGlow also in­cludes two night’s ac­com­mo­da­tion in a su­pe­rior room with daily break­fast at La Res­i­dence, one of Viet­nam’s most ac­claimed ho­tels. In the of­fer’s two-night pack­age, the ho­tel ush­ers guests into the East Asian Wonderland of the UNESCO World Her­itage site’s Im­pe­rial City, the seat of the Nguyen Em­pire from 1804 to 1945. The tour takes in the mon­u­men­tal South Gate, the Palace of Supreme Har­mony, and the For­bid­den Pur­ple City. The fol­low­ing day, the ho­tel whisks HueGlow guests in a pri­vate car out to Thuan An Beach on the East Sea. A pri­vate beach­front fa­cil­ity pro­vides shade, com­fort and other ne­ces­si­ties for a day on the beach. As the sun sinks, the bar­be­cue starts glow­ing as ho­tel chefs pre­pare a pri­vate din­ner for two of hand-picked seafood, meats and sal­ads. HueGlow costs US $637 (VND 14.3 mil­lion) for the two-night stay of dou­ble oc­cu­pancy and is valid through 31 Oc­to­ber 2017.
