Giorgetti, a leading player in contemporary Italian design, returns as an exhibitor at Salone del Mobile 2016 with a complete interior design project that reveals a perfect balance between craftsmanship and industrial innovation. The excellence of Italian design is clear from the selection of materials, the attention to details and the search for practical finishing touches, which demonstrate a comprehensive approach to contemporary living.

From new pieces to restyled iconic products, Giorgetti presents something completely different: a coherent kitchen with its own carefully considered interior design. Strong, linear, geometric shapes, in a contemporary style and with exclusive finishing touches that can be entirely customised to suit the client’s requirements and preferences; these are the main characteristics of this kitchen, where attention to detail, as with all Giorgetti designs, makes the difference. With this project, on show both at Salone del Mobile and at Giorgetti Atelier in Via Serbelloni, Milan, the firm adds another line to its range of furnishing solutions and affirms its ability to work in any field of design. This development has inspired Giorgetti to design and develop a range of exclusive and personalised decorative items this year: from lamps to rugs, but also accessories including vases and sets to complement the bar area.

In a display area arranged over two floors, designed with architectural rigour and set up at the Salone del Mobile, Giorgetti presents its work through a succession of warm yet simple rooms in which wood, in all its purity, beauty and lightness is complemented by textile details and items in glass. The architectural scenes, revealed through a thin layer, highlight the functions of the individual pieces. The interaction is created by a system of screens in the central corridor that illustrate the world of Giorgetti. Reference to the domestic environment is also present, especially in the last part of the exhibit, where the display is transformed into a genuine home, highlighting the firm’s increased talent for creating complex architectural solutions and projects. For Salone del Mobile 2016, Giorgetti also re- works some of the catalogue designs to make them more practical and comfortable.

In terms of new products, there are fresh designs created in collaboration with Carlo Colombo and Roberto Lazzeroni. This consolidated group of designers is joined by the creative talents of Alessio De Francesco, a new face on the Italian design scene, highlighting how Giorgetti strives to give space and visibility to new architects.

This is a commitment that the firm has pursued this year through the Istituto Marangoni’s School of Design in Milan: Giorgetti has provided support for the Master’s in Italian Product Design and will announce the best designs to come out of the course at an upcoming special event.

The versatility of Giorgetti’s collections is clear in the showrooms at the Via Serbelloni Atelier, where very different pieces fit together harmoniously to make the space. Together they define the Giorgetti lifestyle in a new generation concept that substitutes the traditional showroom, presenting an elegant domestic environment. It is an exclusive atmosphere that offers a fresh perspective on contemporary living.
