L’OCCITANE EN PROVENCE ARLÉSIENNE
The signature of feminine beauty
L`OCCITANE EN PROVENCE has launched a new perfume for women named Arlésienne. The fragrance is inspired by the Venus of Arles, a Roman statue discovered in 1651. The statue represents the woman of Provence - the ideal of feminine beauty and the muse of artists such as Bizet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Léo Lele, Mistral, Christian Lacroix and many others.
To conjure up the fragrance, the perfumer took the unique notes of three flowers. These blooms reflect the story of the Arlésienne – their muse from the south of France. Her bold character, reflective of tradition, spurred the creation of Arlésienne eau de toilette, a signature of the perfumer. The fragrance’s three floral notes, each one like a trait of her character, fuse together.
Arlésienne’s grace is presented by roses, her fiery temperament is evoked by saffron and violet depicts her mystery. The composition begins with the freshness of mandarin and the peppery character of saffron flower in bloom. The heart captures rose from Grasse complemented by lily of the valley. Violet at the base is accompanied by milky sandalwood, blonde woods and tonka bean.
To cater to every woman’s beauty desires, L’Occitane has created an array of complementary products whose scent echoes that of the original fragrance. Shower Cream, with its delicate yet rich texture, gently cleanses the skin. Beauty Milk body lotion moisturises and nourishes skin with its enriched shea butter formula. Just a small amount of the collection’s Velvet Hand Cream leaves the skin soft as velvet.
The items in this outstanding collection also include Hair Mist for soft, scented hair full of shine. With its natural, subtle shade, Gorgeous Lips original lip gloss makes pouts irresistible. For on-the-go application, Solid Perfume is a convenient alternative to scent touch up. Body Oil is made to a sheer, translucent formula that both perfumes and nourishes the body and hair. Lastly, the collection’s Perfumed Candle diffuses Arlésienne scent throughout the home.
