Island Goddesses

-

As the sun set on Tabanan Regency, Bali, the stars shone brightly at Alila Villas Soori in the form of well-dressed dames - all ready for the 10th Prestige Gala.

Prestige celebrated its first decade in style. Taking place at the private compound of Alila Villas Soori, the event was Indonesia’s high-society party of the year. Ronald Liem’s glamorous guests came dressed up for a night to remember, with the dapper gentlemen clad in evening suits and the ladies adhering to the apt theme of the night: island glamour in all its glory.

Black was the colour of choice for Patricia Panigoro, our October cover girl Adinda Bakrie Ong and Rani Moran. The light material of their outfits, combined with flattering cuts and slits, worked to the fair ladies’ benefits. Their looks were both classic and party-ready.

The festive mood was on full force that night, with beadings, sequins and shiny materials being spotted all around the wonderful white marquee. Monica Hendrayanta dazzled in a white beaded number by Elie Saab, while Yvonne Yuen was stunning in a powder blue Farah Khan number with silver sequin detailing.

Farah Khan was easily the popular choice among the guests. The resort wear queen’s designs were seen on Dina Lestari, who picked a silver and bronze maxi number to match her silver turban. In the same sparkly spirit, Raline Shah and Nadia Walla defined island glamour dressing in Farah Khan.

Lanvin’s signature soft sculptures and drapery detailing were perfect for the occasion. Immy Hartono chose a one-shouldered dress, paired with a matching gemstone necklace and ring from the French fashion house. Salina Nordin selected a floor-length number in bronze that showcased the best of Lanvin’s soft silhouette, epitomising elegance in her every step. Among the other beauties in Lanvin were Sarah Zafria and Lucy Kaschull.

Bali breeze’s matched the resort-ready prints that were other popular choices for the night. Vera Ongko showed off her best features in Emilio Pucci, while Patty Kaunang donned a kaftanstyle piece in a signature leopard print by Roberto Cavalli. Other beauties who stunned in resort-ready prints were Caroline Zachrie ( Vera Wang) and Natalie Tjandra (Nicole Miller).

Showcasing the best of Indonesian fashion, Didiet Maulana dressed Elvina Devinamira, the current Putri Indonesia, in a show-stopping strapless number rich in colours and detailing. Designer Michelle Worth made a grand entrance among Jakarta’s favourite ladies, too. Sherly Worth opted for a sparkly black dress, while Aimee Juliette went for a white number with floral embroidery.

Island goddesses all!
