Supermodel Sasha Pivovarova stars in Dior’s Spring Summer 2018 advertising campaign captured by photographer Patrick Demarchelier. For the ads, the Russian supermodel, who opened Dior’s SS18 fashion show, poses surrounded by her art works. The campaign aesthetics were inspired by the 1960s, evoking a spirit that’s equal parts artistic, feminine and cheekily playful. In charge of creative direction was Maria Grazia Chiuri.

“Her portraits of women with angular faces and large, mesmerising eyes are very personal to Sasha as they are a reflection of her and her emotions,” said Dior. “The creative process is reminiscent of Niki de Saint Phalle, Maria’s source of inspiration for the collection.”
