BURBERRY’S NEW ERA
Riccardo Tisci unveiled a new logo ahead of his runway debut at Burberry this month. The new graphic was designed in collaboration with the British graphic designer Peter Saville, who last year revamped the Calvin Klein logo with Raf Simons. “Peter is one of our generation’s greatest design geniuses,” said Tisci in the house’s official Instagram. “I’m so happy to have collaborated together to reimagine the new visual language for the house.” The logo replaces an all-caps, serif style created in 1999 with a sans-serif, bold text. Saville also has created an interlacing TB pattern after Thomas Burberry, the house’s founder.
