En­tre­pre­neur Casper Rein­ders and Chef Jaimie van Heije have joined forces to open Bumbu Kitchen in Am­s­ter­dam. The In­done­sian restau­rant is to be found at the five-star NH Col­lec­tion Doe­len Am­s­ter­dam ho­tel at Nieuwe Doe­len­straat 26, serv­ing break­fast, lunch, din­ner and drinks. Chef van Heije’s grand­par­ents are from In­done­sia, and he takes in­spi­ra­tion from his grand­mother’s cook­ing style. On the menu ap­pear stand-alone dishes with an In­done­sian touch, in­clud­ing orig­i­nal herbal com­po­si­tions. Din­ing is pos­si­ble at the bar that is at­tached to the kitchen, mak­ing it your own chef’s ta­ble. Or you can sit at one of the ta­bles in the restau­rant, which are all hand-made.
