Entrepreneur Casper Reinders and Chef Jaimie van Heije have joined forces to open Bumbu Kitchen in Amsterdam. The Indonesian restaurant is to be found at the five-star NH Collection Doelen Amsterdam hotel at Nieuwe Doelenstraat 26, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Chef van Heije’s grandparents are from Indonesia, and he takes inspiration from his grandmother’s cooking style. On the menu appear stand-alone dishes with an Indonesian touch, including original herbal compositions. Dining is possible at the bar that is attached to the kitchen, making it your own chef’s table.
