This acrylic on canvas barrelled past its high estimate, fetching US$375,000. The top lot at the auction showcases the Japanese artist’s trademark dots and ‘Infinity Net’.

Kaws, Untitled, 2014

This minimalist acrylic on canvas is part of the Brooklynbased artist’s 2014 series titled Man’s Best Friend, featuring characters from Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip series. Part of Snoopy is seen here, with the artist’s signature ‘X’-marked eyes. It sold for US$200,000.

Cindy Sherman, Untitled #201, 1989

Sold within estimates at US$187,500, this chromogenic print in the artist’s frame reinterprets Old Master portraiture in a modern context.
