Seventy yearS of Dior
Dior: From Paris to the World, an exhibition that surveys more than 70 years of the House of dior, is open at The denver Art museum (dAm) from now until march 3, 2019. Inside the event is a chronicle of the brand’s journey: from post-World War II to becoming a global couture powerhouse that it is today. “Dior:
From Paris to the World will give visitors an insight into the House of dior’s creative process and inspiration that contributed to its unparalleled impact on the fashion world, which continues to reverberate today,” said christoph Heinrich, Frederick and Jan mayer director of the dAm. The exhibition also includes a tribute to dior’s six creative directors, Yves Saint Laurent, marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and maria Grazia chiuri. This exhibition is curated by Florence muller, the dAm’s textile art and fashion curator and is designed by architect Shohei Shigematsu.
