A VIEW OF JAPAN
Italian fashion house Valentino paid tribute to Japan with an exclusive TKY concept store located in the Ginza that featured special collaborations with well-known designers from the Japanese fashion scene. Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli mixed the themes of East and West with two Japanese concepts: the “ma,” invisible space, and the “wabi-sabi,” the idea of transience and celebration of imperfection. Moreover, the concept store was created in collaboration with Colette founder Sarah Andelman. The space explored Valentino’s view of the creativity and craftsmanship of ancient Japanese tradition. The event was held from November 27 to December 9 and was highlighted by a special Valentino TKY collection, included collaborations with Japanese clothing brands, such as Doublet and Undercover.
