A NEW GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE

A new addition to Jakarta’s blooming food scene, Mare Nostrum (+62 812 8762 0750) is a modern casual Mediterranean gastronomy restaurant located on the 18 floor of Hotel Grand Sahid Jaya Jakarta. The new restaurant offers Mediterraneaninspired cuisine using the latest cooking techniques, with seafood being the highlight. The venue’s menu is created by Michelinstarred Chefs Oriol Castro, Mateu Casañas and Eduard Xatruch. After their initial success with Compartir Cadaques, the trio began their expansion with the opening of the renowned Disfrutar Barcelona. “We created the menu that combines the Mediterranean ingredients, recipe and culture with the unique techniques, resulting in the whole different experience of cuisine,” Casañas remarked during the restaurant’s grand opening. “We want them to experience the real world-class cuisine without the need to leave their home country and of course, with a touch of local preference.”
