View Restaurant (+62 21 2970 3333) at Fairmont Jakarta has recently introduced a new menu. Created by Chef Patrese Vito, the new offerings are available à la carte as well as a chef’s tasting menu set of three and five courses. If your diet is plant-based, there’s a 12-course of plant-based menu available as well to cater your needs. Your dining journey starts with an amuse bouche, a small treat from the chef that will be different from time to time, as a surprise element. Appetizer choices range from Beet Root, a salt baked beet combined with apple and walnut, Foie Gras, lapsang, souchong smoked foie gras served with cherry Benedictin­e, pistachio and brioche, or the unconventi­onalbut-tasty Wolf’s Peach, tomatoes served in various forms of confit, powder, sorbet, to consommé jelly. Meat lovers would be happy with the choice of main course as View has its Kiwami Wagyu 9+ served with glazed root vegetables, Port wine and mashed potato. There’s also chicken or lobster options, as well as a fresh catch of the day, cooked in black miso, curry, caviar and cauliflowe­r. End the journey with a not-too-sweet note with Valrhona Bali Cuvee 68-percent Sakanti Chocolate served with coffee mascarpone and Earl Grey ice cream.
