HERMÈS IN THREE ACTS

The Hermès Fall 2021 readyto wear show opened with a dance performance in New York then jetted off to Paris for the fashion show with models and ended in Shanghai with the second dance piece. Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski’s ambitious plan to defy physical distance worked seamlessly and smoothly relayed the message the creative director wanted to say: that it’s urgent to live again. The collection, named Triptych, is a study of intrinsic luxury that empowers the wearer with confidence, shown through rich fabrics and understated details, where seemingly straightforward jackets and pants are detailed with fine nappa leather and dresses are finely beaded for a three-dimensional effect.
