CHOPARD COLOURED TITANIUM

It has been about a decade since Chopard began experimenting with the near-impossible task of colouring the extremely light but hard-to-manipulate titanium. Year after year, the range of hues and complexity of design continue to grow, cementing the Swiss maison’s position as a leader in new technical innovations in the jewellery world. Performed by only a handful of artisans, this technique does not just lend ultra-vividness and an avant-garde quality to pieces, it also enhances the colour of the gemstones. The titanium is treated to match the stone colour, even the really unusual shades, such as the vibrant orange of the fire opals on this Red Carpet Collection 2021 Fire ring. Its orange titanium and Fairmined-certified rose gold frame is adorned with 23.43 carats of opals, in addition to sapphires, rubies and yellow diamonds.
