Located in tranquil Jimbaran, Bali, Cuca (+62 81236870486) offers globally inspired, locally sourced tapas, cocktails and desserts. Chef Kevin Cherkas and his Spanish restaurateur partner, Virginia Entizne, have successfully developed a radically different, casual meets finedining experience serving inventive comfort food meant for sharing. Each ingredient is studied to understand its potential and then prepared by applying Western techniques developed through the chef’s painstaking international experiences in Michelin-starred restaurants. As for the menu, Cuca’s “world tapas” come in distinctive categories that embrace the best and freshest local ingredients. A form of cuisine on their own, Cuca’s signature cocktails are as thoughtful and unique as the food: exciting, refreshing and playful. For desserts, Cuca’s are rather light, mildly sweet but still heavily delicious.
