Unity in Diversity
Plataran welcomed PT. Freeport Indonesia and the Maramowe Weaiko Kamorawe foundation to Hutan Kota by Plataran for a one-of-a-kind art exhibition to highlight and celebrate the beauty of Papuan culture, with an emphasis on the creativity of the Kamoro tribe. Opened by Plataran Indonesia’s founder Yozua Makes, followed by VP Director of Freeport Indonesia Jenpino Ngabdi, and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Tohir, the event revolved around a keynote speech by none other than Indonesia’s Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Nadiem Makarim. The event also featured a live performance by Papuan duo Nogei. It was undoubtedly a night of spectacular cultural celebration.
