The travel-inspired objects from the beautifully crafted Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades collection are showcased in Indonesia last November and soon, Miami Design

LOUIS VUITTON was born out of craftmanship. And with it, the maison aims to preserve and impart the savoir-faire that Louis Vuitton has mastered since its 1854 founding. Since then, Louis Vuitton has brought countless unique designs to the world, combining innovation with style and always aiming for the finest quality. Sharing a sense of intuitiveness, desire and pleasure, Louis Vuitton’s tradition continues to offer inspiring and surprising designs anchored in evolving visions of travel. Over time, the combination of its savoir-faire and the talents of renowned designers has created opportunities to develop inventive shapes, materials and products.

The Indonesia Savoir-Faire is divided into several areas, with rooms transformed to create a modern atmosphere where VIP clients can witness firsthand the world of Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship.

On display are carefully curated pieces from the Objets Nomades collection, which are inspired by passions, dreams and encounters, and conceived by giving carte blanche to contemporary designers. Objet Nomade is a collection of unique designs which relates directly to travel, the original purpose of Louis Vuitton’s existence. It’s hard to pin point which object is the highlight of the show because each has its own personality, story and exceptionality about it. The beauty of fine materials, the plasticity of forms, carefully balanced proportions, complex craftmanship, and close attention to detail are the focal points of all creative activity at Louis Vuitton.

That being said, there were, of course, some

extra memorable displays. Showcased for the first time in South Asia is the Petal Chair by Marcel Wanders Studio. Also the iconic Aguacate and iconic pieces like Bulbo by the Campana Brothers, the Ribbon Dance by Andre Fu and the gleaming Lanterne by Zanellato and Bartotto. VIP guests also had the opportunity to see all the work that goes into assembling a Petite Malle with a demo kit accompanied by a local artisan.

Completing the richness of the extensive showcase are a curated selection of the Maison’s trunks, exotic leather bags, and the Flaconnier Trunk by Frank Gehry for the Les Extraits highend fragrance, collectibles from the Made-toOrder Games and Home collection and pieces from the Art of Living collection.

These remarkable objects will soon be on display in Miami as Louis Vuitton will be participating in Design Week Miami 2021. The Objets Nomades will occupy a special installation within the Women’s store in the Design District. Some of the newly launched Objets Nomades pieces shown at the Savoir-Faire event—such as the Lanterns by Zanellato and Bortotto, Aquacate by Campana Brothers and the Petal Chair by Marcel Wanders Studio—will be officially launched in Miami during Design Week alongside the Cosmic Table by Raw Edges and Merengue by Campana Brothers. Through Objets Nomades, Louis Vuitton’s desire to explore new paths and accompany an ever-changing world with its emblematic creations have truly been fulfilled.
