DESIGNING MEMORIES

Designed by Antonio Citterio for the Flexform Indoor Collection, the Lee armchair and settee are designed as memories through conceptual simplicity and influences that are tied to childhood memories. Design-wise, the solid wood structure in ash and Canaletto walnut is entirely hand-crafted, as are the woven backrest and seat made of paper rush cord. Interestingly, this old-fashioned but completely natural material with excellent resistance to wear is revived here as a tribute to tradition, with the added satisfaction of creating something that will last a lifetime and be passed down to the next generations.
